The Daylily comes from the latin term Hemerocallis, which means Day Beautiful. This essence gives us the duality of yin and yang, withering in the evening and blooming in the day. During the summer season, the continuous cycle of birth, death and rebirth occurs and gardens are filled with astonishing colors and energies by day because of the quiet, nourishing shadow of night. The daylily essence allows us to flow with the tides of shadow and light, letting go of control and returning to the cycles within as governed by nature. They share with us harmony within duality.
